About Youryogapath & Caroline Kelly

Be in the Moment

"Hello, I'm Caroline Kelly, a passionate yoga teacher with 15 years experience. My passion for yoga has led me to attain various qualifications, including 200hr Hatha Yoga, 50hr Pre and Post Natal Yoga, 50hr Yin Yoga, and 50hr Children's and Teenage Yoga. I am also trained in Yoga Nidra, and have recently completed a course in Wheel Yoga. I love to blend different styles to create unique and dynamic flows, encouraging students to build energy and strength while embracing creativity and having fun. This inspires me to be more mindful, playful and curious.

These feelings inform and guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on helping and encouraging my students. My aim is to help individuals find their balance, inner peace, and joy through yoga.

Over the years I have had the great pleasure and privilege of studying with many inspiring teachers and meeting truly wonderful and inspiring students. Apart from yoga, I love dancing and cherish moments spent with loved ones. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share my passion for yoga with you and support you on your wellness journey."

I have been attending Caroline's yoga classes for 10 years now and could not recommend them highly enough. Caroline's classes incorporate everything I love about yoga. They are challenging for those who wish to challenge themselves but equally, you're not pressured to go beyond your limits if it doesn't feel right. Everyone is made to feel comfortable and encouraged to work to their own abilities and strengths and develop their own pace. Caroline's classes are also a joy to attend because of the uniquely relaxed, warm and happy environment she has created, which (in my experience) is often missing in other yoga classes. They are much-needed tonic for my mind, body and soul - I never fail to finish a class feeling restored and uplifted.

Highly recommend Caroline's yoga classes. I've been practising for 25+years, 10+years with Caroline and really enjoy them. She brings warmth, fun and deep experience so that whether you're a beginner or advanced there is variety and the opportunity to stretch or go easy. We do proper relaxation and cool down; She is safety conscious and will always personalise to different conditions or ailments. Currently doing twice a week and really appreciate how she's adapted to online classes during lockdown.

Caroline is a truly wonderful yoga teacher, I love her classes for so many different reasons and really look forward to them every week. Her classes are always a perfect mix of relaxation, stretching and strengthening, perfect for those new to yoga and for the more experienced yogis. I always feel invigorated after a class and the Saturday morning classes are a perfect start to my weekend, thank you Caroline!

Johanna

Caroline's classes are warm, friendly and suitable for all levels. She is an exceptional skilled yoga teacher who gives clear instructions, individual attention and bags of encouragement. I have done many yoga classes over the yeras and Caroline's classes are undoubtedly my favourite. Thank you Caroline, for all support and encouragement.

Louisa

I have been doing yoga with Caroline for many years now and I look forward to my Tuesday evening classes. This is mainly due to Caroline's calm and patient approach to teaching and her love and compassion for yoga. She takes individuals and adapts the different postures according to their ability. I would thoroughly recommend joining Caroline's classes.

Claire

Caroline is a genuine and lovely person to be in contact with every week. Her classes are for all levels of yoga, there is no competition or pressure to perform and I am able to be more relaxed or push myself depending on how I feel. The yoga movements she shows us have always helped me keep level flexibility and wellness and I come away from the lessons every week feeling happier and much more in touch with my strength and calm self. I am so happy I have found a weekly yoga class that I feel comfortable and it is a pleasure to go every week.

Natasha

For the past 9 years, Caroline's classes are the highlight of my week. She creates a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere in all of her classes, adapting the exercises to suit all abilities. The combination of her warm and caring personality, a long with her extensive yoga knowledge and expertise makes her the best yoga teacher you can get!

Foxy

Caroline is quite simply the best yoga teacher I have ever had. She manages to skilfully balance the need for relaxation and calm with programmes that give me core strength and improve my yoga technique. Whether we are in the same room or via live stream, I feel connected and engaged throughout the lesson. Her positive energy is always present alongside her very impressive yoga knowledge and skills

FAQ
  • What if I'm new to yoga?
I am honoured that you have chosen me as your teacher. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first class, so that you can fill out a health questionnaire. We can have a chat and if needed I will give you modifications for the postures.
  • What if I have an injury or physical condition?
Always check with your Medical Health Professional before practicing yoga or any other form of exercise. Tell me about your injury before class starts so I can suggest modifications. Listen to your body, be mindful and always practice safely.
  • What do I need to bring to class?
Just a big smile, mat and blocks if you have any, but I do have a good supply if you need to borrow them. Comfortable clothing, which you can stretch and move around in easily. Yoga should be done in bare feet, if you need to keep socks on maybe wear ones with grips on the bottom of them.
  • If I am out of shape, can I still do yoga?"
Absolutely! If you have a concern please consult with your health professional before starting a yoga class. Listen to your body and only do what you can, don't push yourself just gently ease back into an exercise routine. Use props (blocks, straps) and listen out for the modifications to make the postures more accessible. Over time, you will build strength, stamina, balance and flexibility. Yoga is most definitely a marathon not a sprint.
  • Is there an age limit to practicing yoga?
Not at all! I have students in their 60's and 70's. As long as you listen to your body there is no age limit.
  • What if I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant, I strongly advise that you check with your medical health professional before practicing yoga or any other form of exercise. I would also recommend if you are completely new to yoga attending a pregnancy yoga class past your first trimrster (after the first 12 weeks). If you need more advise please give me a call or send a message via the contacts page. I will get back to you asap.
  • What if I'm running late?
Please don't panic, we all run late sometimes. Just come in quietly and enjoy your class.
  • What if I fall asleep during relaxation (savasana)?
No problem, enjoy! It happens to everyone! I will gently place my hand on your shoulder to bring you back to the room.
  • Can I eat before class?
Make sure you give 2 hours after a meal before starting your class, a light snack an hour before is fine.
  • How do I pay?
Generally students pay for classes by group booking, but there are drop in classes. These can be paid in person or by BACS. An online booking system will be coming soon.
  • Do you offer 1-1 classes
Yes! Please send me a message via the conacts page, as these classes are tailored to the individual.
  • What are LIVE classes?
Since April all of my classes have had to go online due to coronavirus. Live classes are streamed to you from my sitting room, via Whereby. You book your class and in the afternoon a link is sent to your email address, you just press the link to enter the room. Whereby is browser sensitive so chrome or fiefox is needed to stream successfully, Safari on I-pad. You will be able to see and speak to me and the other students on your computer, laptop or mobile phone. Before class starts, all students will be asked to mute their microphone icon at the bottom of the screen so their is no distracting backround noise, but if you need to speak to me at any point during the class just unmute yourself. I generally see if you need help, but if i'm upside down I might miss you.
